Students will learn Chinese calligraphy on a fortnightly basis and attend weekly Appreciation of Chinese Culture lessons. These lessons introduce students to key aspects of Chinese heritage, including the history of our forefathers and selected works from Chinese literature, helping them develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.
Beyond the classroom curriculum, the programme provides authentic learning experiences through partnerships with external organisations. Students will visit the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, where they may serve as student docents or participate in curated cultural workshops. They will also embark on learning journeys to watch local Chinese theatre productions, deepening their appreciation of Chinese performing arts. In addition, the Special Development Programme is offered to students who demonstrate strong interest and ability in areas such as public speaking and creative writing. Through the programme, students will have opportunities to further develop their talents, take part in enrichment activities, and represent the school on relevant platforms and competitions. 学生通过双周一次的书法课和每周一节的中华文化与历史课程，浸润于文化学习。课程内容涵盖先辈南来的历史以及文学作品的导读，帮助学生加深对中华文化的理解与欣赏。 在课堂学习之外，课程也通过与对外的合作，为学生提供真实且丰富的学习体验。学生将参访新加坡华族文化中心，在那里担任学生讲解员或参与精心设计的文化工作坊。此外，学生也将通过学习之旅观赏本地华文戏剧演出，从而提升对表演艺术的欣赏能力。 此外，学校也为在口语表达与创意写作方面展现浓厚兴趣与潜能的学生提供特别发展课程。通过该课程，学生将有机会进一步发展自身的才华，参与多元化的增益活动，并在相关平台或比赛中代表学校展示所学。 |

SAt the upper secondary level, students continue to deepen their understanding of the Chinese language and culture through a range of enrichment programmes and authentic learning experiences. Programme highlights include hands-on exposure to the art of traditional Chinese tea-making, where students learn about the cultural significance and etiquette of Chinese tea culture. Students will also participate in workshops conducted by local Chinese radio DJs and a Chinese film director. Through these interactions with professionals from the media and arts industries, students gain insights into creative fields while experiencing how the Chinese language is used in contemporary media and storytelling. These experiences not only deepen students’ appreciation of both local and broader Chinese cultural contexts, but also provide meaningful platforms for them to actively use and refine their Chinese language skills in authentic, real-world settings. In addition, level-wide interclass competitions are organised to provide students with further opportunities to apply their language skills. Sec 3 students participate in an English–Chinese Translation Competition, while Sec 4 students take part in a Public Speaking Competition. These platforms encourage students to actively use Chinese in meaningful contexts, while strengthening their language proficiency, confidence, and communication skills. 在高年级阶段，学生将通过一系列增益课程与真实学习体验，进一步加深对华文与中华文化的理解。课程亮点包括亲身体验传统茶艺，让学生了解中国茶文化的内涵与礼仪，从中体会中华传统文化的独特魅力。 此外，学生也将参与由本地华文电台主持人与华文电影导演主持的工作坊。通过与媒体与艺术界专业人士的交流，学生不仅能了解创意产业的运作，也能体会华文在当代媒体与影视创作中的实际运用。这些学习体验不仅能加深学生对本地及更广泛华族文化的认识与欣赏，也为他们提供真实的平台，在真实语境中积极运用华文，进一步提升语言表达与沟通能力。 此外，课程也设有年级班际比赛，为学生提供更多运用华文的机会。中三学生将参加中英文翻译比赛，中四学生则参与华语演讲比赛。这些平台鼓励学生在有意义的情境中运用华文，进一步提升语言能力、表达信心与沟通技巧。 |
